Dear Wound Bearer,
I do not pretend that any words I say can undo the harm I have done to you. I only aspire to acknowledge my fault, even as I know my attempt may be futile. Can I truly and completely understand the depth and breadth of the injury I have caused you? I dare not say so.
You were wholly undeserving of the harm I inflicted on you. You were right to expect the purest motives from me. You were right to expect words unmaligned by malice. You were right to expect actions that backed up my words, and words that laid bare my motives.
I wronged you and caused you harm. I cannot imagine to receive anything from you, and especially an acceptance of this apology. Nevertheless, may every good thing come to you and heal your wound.
